Pier Cap Extensions

Workers build formwork for an extension to a pier cap on the upstream side of the bridge.


Retaining Wall Piles

A technician checks the progress of pile driving operations at the retaining wall along southbound Route 1 adjacent to Delmorr Avenue in Morrisville. The piles are driven to a point of resistance, then cut at a uniform elevation and encased in foundation concrete.


Saw Cutting
Date posted: 6/30/2008
Crews have begun saw cutting the existing concrete pavement on the southbound Route 1 bridge. The pavement sections will be removed once the new beams are set atop the widened upstream piers.


Abutment Construction

Construction of the southbound Route 1 bridge over Route 29 in Trenton is underway.
